Leadership Council Activities

Members of the Generation Listen Leadership Council attend station events and monthly council meetings, promote the station to reach new audiences, and host an annual fundraising and awareness event, called MetroQuest.

Leadership Council Requirements

  • Sustaining membership to support STLPR
  • Fulfill a 3-year term
  • Attend a minimum of 1/2 of the events throughout the year (about one per quarter)

In order to support these duties, members focus on one of three initiatives of the council:

MetroQuest

The MetroQuest committee hosts an annual bar crawl/trivia hunt at different neighborhoods across St. Louis. This event helps people get to know the neighborhood and to spread awareness about STLPR. As a committee member, we help secure event locations, write the trivia, secure sponsorships, and many other event duties.

Digital Marketing

The digital marketing committee maintains a clear Generation Listen brand and online presence. We aim to increase awareness and interest of our council, encourage engagement and growth of our digital audience, and promote attendance to all Generation Listen events.

Promotions

The promotions committee plans which events Generation Listen is going to have an organized presence at and helps to get the word out about those opportunities, recruiting council members to be there and sharing those plans.

"I listen to St. Louis Public Radio every day to stay informed about local, national and world news. Volunteering through the Generation Listen Council is such a fulfilling (and exciting!) way to give back to this vital resource for our community."
